Catwalk Show of Art

Colourful cat statues are popping up all over the Cape Breton Regional Municipaltiy. Part of the Catwalk Show of Art, they are intended to raise awareness of the issue of abandoned and feral cats.

The Feral & Abandoned Cat Society organized the show, and local artists created and painted designs for each of the larger-than-life statues. A gilded pharaoh cat, a cowboy cat and a borg cat are among the 24 cats who will be unveiled by the end of June. In September, the statues will be auctioned to raise money to save more cats.
